VBRATA and the Bahia State Tourism Department Successfully Host the Showcase “Viva Brasil! Bahia Unique Experiences Madrid 2025”

An exclusive opportunity for Spanish travel agents and tour operators to explore the wonders of Bahia and strengthen strategic partnerships in the tourism sector

On 20 January, VBRATA (Visit Brazil Travel Association), in partnership with the Government of the State of Bahia, through the Department of Tourism, hosted the “Viva Brasil! Bahia Unique Experiences Madrid 2025” showcase. The event brought together over 170 guests, including travel agents and tour operators, in Madrid.

The event offered an immersive experience, highlighting the natural beauty, rich culture, and diversity of Bahia. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in an interactive workshop, where they engaged directly with representatives from renowned tourist attractions, hotels, and industry operators from Bahia.

One of the event’s highlights was the detailed presentations on Bahia’s top destinations, delivered by the Bahia State Tourism Secretary, Maurício Bacellar, and the Director of International Promotion, Pedro Camacho. Their insights provided guests with a comprehensive overview of the attractions that make Bahia a truly unique destination. The experience was further enriched by the tasting of authentic local cuisine and vibrant performances of Bahian music, internationally renowned for its contagious energy.

The event successfully fulfilled its objective of strengthening strategic partnerships in the tourism sector, offering travel agents direct access to the treasures of Bahia. According to the organisers, the showcase also contributed to enhancing Bahia’s visibility as an international travel destination.

“We are very pleased with the results of the Viva Brasil! Unique Experiences – Bahia Edition, Madrid 2025 showcase. It was an excellent opportunity to reinforce Bahia’s promotion as VBRATA’s ‘Featured Destination’ in Spain for 2025. We were impressed by the engagement of the travel agents, who showed great interest in learning more about Bahia’s tourism and rich culture,” stated Glauco Chris Fuzinatto, President of VBRATA Visit Brazil Travel Association, based in Europe.

The Viva Brasil! Unique Experiences project was designed to be held alongside Europe’s leading tourism fairs. The Madrid edition was strategically scheduled ahead of FITUR Madrid 2025, ensuring Bahia gained special recognition as one of Brazil’s most attractive destinations.
