Haiti

Many don’t realise that Haiti is a Latin American country as French is the official language. Haiti was the first country in the region to claim independence, in 1804, and the first in the world to abolish slavery. Tourism is still limited due to a series of political and military crises, but it is starting to grow. The country’s gastronomy is built around fish, root vegetables and soups.
